Pumpkin Extravaganza Workout
The other night for one of my group classes we did an entire workout using just a pumpkin we called it the Pumpkin Extravaganza Workout. The picture you see is the actual winner in the decorating contest. You didn’t really think I would have them using pumpkins without first decorating them did you?
Well as a bonus, since it is Halloween I am going to give you my entire workout. All you will need is a pumpkin (pre cut) decorations are optional.
Pumpkin Extravaganza Workout
Warm-up – Each of the next four exercises are completed for a minute each. No rest in between.
- Walk with an overhead press
- Walk with a bicep curl
- Front toe touches
- Pumpkin swings
Core - Each exercise performed for 1 minute no rest in between.
- Bridge hold with chest press
- Side plank pumpkin on hip
- Plank hands on pumpkin
Workout – each exercise is performed for 30 seconds followed by a 30 second recovery. During the recovery you will walk with an overhead press or bicep curl.
- Pumpkin chop
- Kneeling or full push ups on pumpkin
- Side toe touches
- Pumpkin squat overhead press
- Bent over alternating rows
- Lunge with alternating twist
Perform circuit for desired amount of times.
Beginners remember take breaks as often as possible and more advanced exercisers as little as possible.
